Consejos para ser un buen turista ll Tips for being a good tourist

En mi último viaje a París, estaba comentado con mi madre los varios sucesos que nos sucedieron y yo dije: "¡Es qué si no te pasan ciertas cosas no eres un buen turista! Un día escribiré una guía para ser un buen turista." Y aquí está. Disfrutad de mis consejos turísticos. (¡Mama! ¡He escrito una guía!)

On my last trip to Paris, I was talking with my mom about the several things that happened to us and I said: "If you don't pass through certain things you are not a good tourist! One day I'll write a guide for being a good tourist." And here it is. Enjoy my touristic tips. (Mama! I wrote a guide!)

1. Llevar una cámara de fotos y hacer muuchas fotos (demasiadas), aunque sean de cosas inútiles.
2. Llevar un libro-guía con mapa incorporado (te puede llegar a ser de MUCHA ayuda).
3. Llevar siempre un paraguas encima (nunca sabrás cuando vas a necesitar uno).
4. Perderte (si no cumples esta regla no eres un buen turista).
5. Perderte muchas veces. Si son seguidas mejor. (como véis esta regla es muy importante)
6. Vestir de manera que parezcas turista (yo llevé boina en Madrid).
7. Cruzar los semáforos en rojo (tienes que vivir al límite).
8. Hablar el idioma del país mal o hablar en otro idioma que no sea ni de ese país ni del tuyo (yo hablé alemán en Francia).
9. Coger la línea de metro que no es.
10. Preguntar a un local una dirección. Darte cuenta de que ese local también es un turista. Buscar un local auténtico.
11. Llevar un calzado no apropiado y darte cuenta cuando es demasiado tarde.
12. CASI perder el avión (le da un toque de emoción al asunto).
13. Quedarse en un apartamento que has encontrado online y darte cuenta de que es mucho peor de lo que esperabas (gracias por esa ducha sucia).
14. Escribir una guía de consejos estúpidos para ser un "buen" turista.

1. Take a camera and do loots of photos (too many), even of silly things.
2. Take a guide-book with a map in it (it can be VERY helpful).
3. Take always an umbrella (you'll never know when you'll need one).
4. Get lost (if you don't accomplish this rule you're not a good tourist).
5. Get lost several times. If they're followed even better. (as you see this one is very important)
6. Dress like a tourist (I wore a beret in Madrid).
7. Cross the street in red light (you have to live on the edge).
8. Speak the language of the country badly or speak another language that isn't the one in the country you're or yours (I spoke German in France).
9. Take the wrong subway line.
10. Ask an adress to a local. Find out that local is a tourist too. Find a real local.
11. Wear not appropiate shoes and realize when is too late.
12. ALMOST loose the flight (it gives a touch of emotion to the business).
13. Stay in an apartment that you found online and realize it's even worst than you expected (thanks for that dirty shower).
14. Write a guide of stupid advices to be a "good" tourist.

Creo que no me he dejado nada. Pero puede que me venga un destello de luz y me inspire mientras duermo, así que dejo la lista abierta. Nunca se sabe cuando puedes encontrar inspiración o que tipo de inspiración. Y ya sabéis, si váis de viaje no os olvidéis de mis consejos, pueden llegar a ser muy útiles.

I think I didn't forgot anything. But there might come a flash of light and inspire me while sleeping, so I keep the list open. You never know when you can find inspiration or what kind of inspiration. And you know, if you are traveling someday don't forget my advices, they can be very helpful.
