BOOK REVIEW: "Guerra y Paz" de Lev Tolstoi ll "War and Peace" by Leo Tolstoy

Bien. Como os conté en un post, he decidido empezar un nuevo "proyecto" (si se le puede llamar así...), que es hacer un review de un libro cada vez que me lea uno. También os dije que el primer libro sería "Guerra y Paz" de Lev Tolstoi, pero, después de casi un mes y leídas 400 de 1100 páginas, he decidido abandonarlo. No es propio de mi dejar un libro sin acabar, pero éste me estaba matando. ¿Los motivos? Parecía interesante y es uno de los clásicos (y además del gran Tolstoi), pero lo encontré muy complicado: demasiados nombres (¡encima rusos!), cambios de escenas muy repentinos (y me perdía), me tenía que releer cada página para entenderlo todo y no perderme aún más y el vocabulario era muy denso, hasta para mi. Pero no le digo adiós para siempre. Algún día lo retomaré por donde lo dejé. Pero ese día no va a ser hoy.

All right. As I told you in a post, I decided to start a new "project" (if I can call it that...), which is to make a review of a book every time I read one. I also told you that the first book would be "War and Peace" by Leo Tolstoy, but after nearly a month and read 400 pages of 1100, I decided to leave it. It's not like me leaving a book unfinished, but it was killing me. Motives? It looked interesting and is one of the classics (besides the great Tolstoy), but I found it very complicated: too many names (Russian!!), changes scenes very sudden (and I was lost all the time), I had to re-read every page to understand everything and not lose even more and the vocabulary was very dense, even for me. But I don't say goodbye forever. I will return someday where I left it. But that day will not be today.

Bueno. Habiendo aclarado todo, ahora he empezado otro (encima en inglés... uuuuh!!) y cuando lo acabe voy a hacer el review.
