BOOK REVIEW: "I Never Knew That About London" de Christopher Winn ll "I Never Knew That About London" by Christopher Winn

Otro libro que va a mi librería. Y como os prometí, ahora toca mi opinión. No os podré hacer muchos spoilers porque no es una novela ni nada por el estilo, sinó que nos cuenta la historia de los edificios más emblemáticos y los que no son tan conocidos de Londres.

Éste es un libro perfecto si os gusta la arquitectura, la historia o simplemente Londres. A mi me encantan las tres. Gracias a ello he podido averiguar más cosas sobre una de mis ciudades favoritas y que visitaré por tercera vez dentro de muy pronto (el 13 de junio). Lo que más me ha sorprendido (si se le puede decir así...) ha sido que la mitad de las iglesias y edificios importantes (como la Catedral de Saint Paul, el Palacio de Kensington, 10 de Downing Street...) fueron construidos por Christopher Wren, ¡menudo hombre! También me ha hecho gracia encontrar regularmente los nombres de Sir Thomas More, Henry VIII, Anne Boleyn o Thomas Cromwell, que me son muy familiares por la serie de la BBC que sigo, Los Tudor (si os gusta la historia, buscadla, está muy bién).

Me ha gustado muchísimo, ya que adoro leer y aprender éste tipo de cosas. Muchas gracias a mi amiga de intercambio de Londres, Sascha. No puedo esperar a verte el próximo mes. <3

Another book that goes to my bookshelf. And as I promised, now it's turn for my opinion. There won't be many spoilers because it's not a novel or anything like that, it tells the history of the most emblematic buildings and those that are not so well known in London.

This is a perfect book if you like architecture, history or just London. I really love all three of them. Thanks to that I could find out more about one of my favorite cities and that will visit for the third time very soon (June 13). What has surprised me the most (if you can say it like that...) was that half of the important churches and buildings (like the Cathedral of Saint Paul, Kensington Palace, 10 Downing Street...) were built by Christopher Wren, what a man! It has also made me laugh because I regularly have found the names of Sir Thomas More, Henry VIII, Anne Boleyn and Thomas Cromwell, who are very familiar for the BBC series I follow, The Tudors (if you like history, watch it, is very good).

I liked it very much, and I love to read and learn this kind of things. Thank you very much to my exchange friend from London, Sascha. I can't wait to see you next month. <3
