BOOK REVIEW: "El Corredor del Laberinto: Las Pruebas" de James Dashner ll "The Scorch Trials" by James Dashner

Otro libro que va a mi librería. Y como os prometí, ahora toca mi opinión. No os quiero hacer muchos spoilers porque no mola nada, pero para dar mi opinión alguno va a caer.

Es el segundo libro de tres y perfecto si os gustan las trilogías como Divergente o Los Juegos del Hambre, ya que la trama es bastante parecida. Si os gustó el primer libro, os va a encantar éste.

SINOPSIS:

"El laberinto era sólo el principio. Resolver el laberinto se suponía que era el final. No más pruebas, no más huidas. Thomas creía que salir significaba que todos recobrarían sus vidas, pero ninguno sabía a qué clase de vida estaban volviendo.
Árida y carbonizada, gran parte de la tierra es un territorio inservible. El sol abrasa, los gobiernos han caído y una misteriosa enfermedad se ha ido apoderando poco a poco de la gente. Sus causas son desconocidas; su resultado, la locura.
En un lugar infestado de miseria y ruina, y por donde la gente ha enloquecido y deambula en busca de víctimas, Thomas conoce a una chica, Brenda, que asegura haber contraído la enfermedad y estar a punto de sucumbir a sus efectos.
Entretanto, Teresa ha desaparecido, la organización WICKED les ha dejado un mensaje, un misterioso chico ha llegado y alguien ha tatuado unas palabras en los cuellos de los gladers. La de Minho dice "el líder"; la de Thomas, "el que debe ser asesinado"."

Me ha gustado muchísimo, igual que el primer libro. No decepciona para nada. Como ya dije el preview del primer libro, no tenía muy claras las intenciones de Teresa. Y después de todo lo que ocurre en el segundo libro, sigo sin estar segura. ¿De verdad intentaba proteger a Thomas o es otra de sus mentiras? También tengo que decir que al principio no me acabó de gustar Brenda, pero se ve que es una gran chica, mejor que Teresa. Las que me han hecho reír bastante son las chicas del Grupo B que al final ayudan a Thomas, Harriet y Sonya.
El momento que más me ha sorprendido ha sido, claramente, (SPOILER ALERT) cuando Thomas descubre la verdad sobre Teresa y Aris y lo van a "sacrificar". Fue un golpe muy bajo. ¡Y después encima Teresa quiere que la perdone! Pero que morro... El final también me ha dejado bastante desconcertada. ¿Qué le pasará a Thomas? ¿Volverá al Glade? Esperemos que no...

Lo recomiendo totalmente. Al igual que toda la trilogía.

Another book that goes to my bookshelf. And as I promised, now it's time for my opinion. I don't want to give you many spoilers because it's not cool, but to give my opinion there'll be some of them.

This is the second book of three and perfect if you like trilogies as Divergent or The Hunger Games, as the plot is quite similar. If you loved the first one, you'll love this one too.

PLOT:

"The maze was only the beginning. Solving the maze was supposed to be the end. No more tests, no more running. Thomas thought that going out meant that all of them would recover their lives, but none knew what kind of life they were returning to.
Dry and charred, much of the land is unusable territory. The sun scorches, governments have fallen and a mysterious disease has gradually been taking over people. Its causes are unknown; its result, madness.
In a place infested of misery and ruin, and where people have gone mad and wanders in search of victims, Thomas meets a girl, Brenda, who claims to have contracted the disease and be about to succumb to its effects.
Meanwhile, Teresa has disappeared, the organization WICKED has left them a message, a mysterious boy has arrived and someone has tattooed a few words on the necks of the Gladers. Minho's says "the leader"; and Thomas's, "who should be killed." "

I've liked it very much, like the first book. It hasn't disappointed me at all. As I said in the preview of the first book, I wasn't sure of Teresa's intentions. And after all that happens in the second book, I'm not sure yet. Is shereally trying to protect Thomas or it's another of her lies? Also I have to say that at first I didn't like Brenda, but she turns out to be a great girl, better than Teresa. The ones that made me laugh pretty much were the girls from Group B that helped Thomas, Harriet and Sonya.
The moment that surprised me the most was, clearly, (SPOILER ALERT) when Thomas discovers the truth about Teresa and Aris and they are going to "sacrifice" him. It was a low blow. And then Teresa wants his forgiveness! Ha...! The end has also left me quite puzzled. What will happen to Thomas? Will he return to the Glade? Hopefully not...

I totally recommend it. So as the whole trilogy.
