BOOK REVIEW: "Buscando a Alaska" de John Green || "Looking for Alaska" by John Green

Otro libro que va a mi librería. Y como os prometí, ahora toca mi opinión. No os quiero hacer muchos spoilers porque no mola nada, pero para dar mi opinión alguno va a caer.

Este libro es del magnífico escritor John Green y perfecto si os gustan sus otros libros como Bajo la Misma Estrella o Ciudades de Papel (las películas de estos dos libros están muy bién, sobretodo la de Bajo la Misma Estrella). Si os gustaron, este os va a encantar. La verdad es que me encanta como escribe John Green y como consigue mezclar la filosofia con el amor adolescente y como te hace pensar y sí, llorar también.

SINOPSIS:

"Cansado de su aburrida existencia, Miles, de 16 años, se muda a un colegio internado para ir en busca de lo que el poeta Rabelais llamó el “Gran Quizá”. Ahí, su recién descubierta libertad y una enigmática chica, Alaska, lo lanzan de lleno a la vida. Pero cuando Miles siente que está por alcanzar su objetivo, una tragedia inesperada amenaza con arrebatárselo."

Adoro a John Green. Ya he leído tres libros suyos y me encanta la manera como escribe. Esa mezcla de poesía y tragedia adolescente es increíble. Te da mucho que pensar. En la vida, en el Gran Quizá, en el destino, en el amor... Es pura filosofia. 
¿Mi personaje favorito? Podría decir Alaska, pero no. El Coronel. Es el boss. Cada vez que habla en el libro, no puedo parar de reír. Hay un momento en el que cuenta una historia de como se metía con los jugadores de el otro equipo... Fue demasiado. 
¿Mi escena favorita? No tengo ninguna. Hay muchos momentos increíbles y súper graciosos. La escena en el partido, las trastadas, ... Es una risa de libro. Me ha gustado mucho.

Another book that goes to my bookshelf. And as I promised, now it's time for my opinion. I don't want to give you many spoilers because it's not cool, but to give my opinion there'll be some of them.

This book is by the great writer John Green and perfect if you like his other books like The Fault in Our Stars or Paper Towns (I love the films of these two books, especially The Fault in Our Stars). If you liked them, this one will charm you. The truth is that I love how John Green writes and how he manages to mix philosophy with teenage love and how he makes you think and yes, cry.

PLOT:

"Miles Halter is tired of his predictable and friendless life (check out the going-away party for him at the beginning of the book), so he decides to attend Culver Creek boarding school in Alabama for his junior year of high school. He tells his parents that he's going to seek a Great Perhaps, that there's something more for him.
And there is. The story is split in two parts: before and after."

I adore John Green. I have already read three of his books and I love the way he writes. That mixture of poetry and teenage tragedy is incredible. It gives you a lot to think about. In life, in the Great Perhaps, in destiny, in love ... It is pure philosophy.
My favorite character? I could say Alaska, but no. The Colonel. He's THE boss. Every time he talks in the book, I can't stop laughing. There is a moment when he tells a story of how he laughed of the other team's players... It was too much.
My favorite scene? I don't have any. There are many incredible and super funny moments. The scene in the basketball game, the tragedies, ... It's a book for laugh and cry. I liked it a lot.
If you like this type of book, you should read this one.
